Soil remembers
For festival Kvantum, the artist creates a site-specific installation Soil remembers. During her visit of Pažite festival, she noticed trees with iron wires stuck in the bark, the wires are the remains of a zoo that used to be present on the site. The wires are pulled from the trees, their construction is subsequently used in the installation. The installation consists of waste canvas found directly in Podhradie. The canvas is covered with soil from locations where the artist lived, including the soil from Bratislava and Prague, as well as the soil and the coal found around Kvantum festival area. The installation is accompanied by materials such as wool/ yarn and photographs from the STK fund. These tell the history of her hometown, specifically focusing on the totalitarian period of Jozef Tiso's time as a priest in Bánovce nad Bebravou. The town is located close to the festival and is also the author's hometown.

REACTION
The installation was created in a space where the tents for the festival are located.
The visitors had the opportunity to step inside, understand the location’s complexity and
decide where to put their tents. All of the visitors decided to build their tents on the right
side where the installation was not present, except one family. This family build the tent
inside the installation and thus, made it alive and the installation thus became reactionary.
