Becoming-animal (with Kang Hyewon)
The project is still in progress
In collaboration with artist Kang Hyewon, we reimagine the state of becoming-animal
in a contemporary setting. Within the gallery space, we use collected everyday objects,
including stones, wood, and fur, to observe and recreate the state of becoming-animal
as proposed in Deleuze and Guattari’s A Thousand Plateaus. This becoming-animal embodies
a state of tension between domestication, wildness, and a ritual of sacrifice, where faciality is lost.
Constantly changing installation in space.
